The 2009 Renegade from Ancient Peaks Winery is a blend of 46% Syrah, 31% Malbec and 23% Petit Verdot. This is the inaugural bottling of this blend and the dark purple color is hauntingly beautiful. The nose is a sexy blend of ripe red fruits, tobacco leaf, mocha and earth. The palate is a complex and mouth filling flavor combination of black fruits, plum, vanilla, cocoa, braised beef and coffee bean. Incredible depth and tannins that are silky smooth, helping to create a very long and satisfying finish. Great stuff!
