2009 Lucky Star Pinot Noir
The 2009 Lucky Star Pinot Noir is another 'bargain in a bottle'. For around $10 US you get a nicely flavored and well structured California Pinot Noir. The nose is predominantly red raspberry, matched on the nose with cherry and just a touch of damp earthiness and a silky smooth feel. The medium weight wine's bright fruits and well framed acidity create a medium finish that is memorable. This is a great food wine and one that I paired with stuffed portobello mushrooms.
