2005 Chateau Routon Mourvedre
September 17, 2011
The 2005 Chateau Routon Winery Mourvedre is deep garnet colored wine that is full of cherry, rich chocolate, cinnamon and black pepper. This wine is rich in color and flavor and the nose also contains some faint herbal qualities that add to the appeal. The back of the palate presents a sweetness of the above flavors combined with sweet wood and the finish is very smooth. This wine is drinking very well right now and should for the next 3-5 years.
