2007 Burgess Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

The 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Burgess Cellars is another stellar example of the great Cabs that came out of the valley during this amazing year.  This wine was decanted for about 70 minutes prior to tasting.  Beautiful red color in the glass with black cherry dominating the nose.  With the additional air time, aromas of cassis and cedar jumped on board.  In the mouth is a classic example of fine Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, showing flavors of black cherry, black berry, plum, cassis, sweet vanilla and oak.  The tannins are incredibly fine and flawlessly integrated.  The finish on this wine is lingering and it is hard to believe you can get a fine Napa Valley Cabernet at this price!
